Can you transfer demo save to full version? Thanks!

I tried running this game on my computer, and upon starting the game I get nothing but a blank, black screen with no sound or anything. I then have great difficulty closing the game- even getting the task manager to run is an uphill battle after starting this game. I have never encountered this problem with any other steam game, and my other steam games are still running fine. I got a good enough pc to run the game on the highest settings and my drivers are also updated. But the game suddenly crashes for me without an error message. What can i do to play the game?
