Realism and accuracy
How is this compared to rl build, parts and details? Are parts named correctly?
Looking to get the game just to generally learn about guns and different builds.
Thank you

Not looking for ballistics or handling realism just assembly and parts.

I would say that realism is maybe 70% there. Many parts are accurately named, and some aren't. The build order for some parts are impossible/wrong. The accessories are kinda wild, along with many of the configurations.

I think overall for a video game it's pretty decent, but if you specifically care about the assembly/disassembly then World of Guns is more accurate than this game is. That being said this is still a fun game, but I do wish it was more accurate given its "Simulator" title.

If you're specifically just trying to learn about guns, I think World of Guns is better though. They also have cool things like cutaways and slow motion to show how the internals of the gun work.

The first realism related thing I noticed is that the 1911 has a "clip" size. Maybe it's some special clip-fed variant, but all the 1911s I've seen take magazines.

This. One of the first things I noticed was that the M4 buffer retaining pin comes out before the buffer and buffer spring do, which would result in the buffer being thrown across the room by the spring.

I'm actually here in the forums looking to see how much people are talking about these kinds of things before making my own post. I'm glad accuracy is being discussed, and I hope the devs take note.

The bolt carrier group also phases through the charging handle upon disassembly/reassembly.
