This is absurd
It really stands out on the M4. Why are aluminum parts rusted? Why am I oiling them? A charging handle doesn't rust. And the naming of the parts is horrible. And on the AK. No rivets? All screws? And the lasers and lights and optics. Half is really expensive gucci gear and the rest is Amazon poor build crap. I don't understand the praise this game is getting.

Any metal oxidizes, regardless of how much iron is present and the process of rusting is, oxidization.
Screw build AKs are a thing and they do work. It's actually a great way to quicken the build process and, to be honest, its cheaper and "jus as guuuuud", for the most part. For anyone looking to spend more than $400 on a rifle and put more than a magazine through it every year, you'd want a rivet build.
The accessories? Honestly that's just the market. You can get a cheap OLIGHT for about $100 instead of the SureFire for $600+ but there's nothing really in between that range, and if I'm being completely honest, the cheap stuff is just as good for the AVERAGE gun owner (that's a different topic however, actually its two different topics).
Just a professional gunsmith.

If that's what you think an FFL holder and Gun Company founder does, good for you bud. Sorry that you don't have experience with anything else because you're too broke. Enjoy your Anderson.

I casually build rifles that cost more than vehicles I pass on the road. Screw build AK's are a piece of ♥♥♥♥, the receivers holes egg out, headspace gets disrupted, things get out of alignment. It's not "just as gud" for any part. It is an acceptable meme or take it to the range and fire a mag to test it before the rivets come in the mail option. I think we agree on that.
Accessories can't be explained by market. Olight is $160 for an Odin, $140 for a mini. The Surefire is not $600 even if you're running the 640 Duel Fuel. There are plenty of options in between. There's also Modlite, Inforce, Nightstick, Streamlight. I've never owned an Anderson in my life. My bottom budget for a rifle is $1500 accessorized, taxed, everything. The rifles I trust and care about cost over $3,000. I have never bought a complete rifle in my life. I have built everything based on Armalite I have ever owned.
That's pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, simple as. You'd also notice a few details if you were capable of reading what I typed.
Look up the Surefire x400 and then tell me why it's $719 and yet under $600 simultaneously (it's because you don't know what you're talking about).
$1500 is cute. That may buy me two barrels. "The rifles I trust and care about cost over $3000" isn't the flex you think it is, with RD's starting at $3500. "I have never bought a complete rifle-" so you push in pins and think you're Billy Badass, figured that.
Lemme know when you're not a joke. I might take you seriously, but that would require you to actually handle the guns instead of just running your mouth about em.
Have yourself a better day.

You're a clown if you're paying $1500 for two barrels. I get Mcgowens and Faxon for $400 for Match Series. I can get a barrel blank chambered, crowned, threaded, and coated for less than that per barrel. You admit you put Olights on guns and want to talk about your barrel budget? Stop the cap.

I get custom 5-axis CNC machined receivers, or DMLS receivers (and I love 718 inconel) take a de-burring tool to them if aluminum, sand blast them with Alox, shot blast them, ultrasonic clean them, and then hard coat anodize them. Then I use my Mitutoyo machining gauges and make determinations about how much material to remove when I lap and chamfer for barreling, because you see, I barrel to such a perfect tight fit that I want to have to take material off before barreling so I can get the most precise match up possible. Then I clean everything off with acetone and polish the feed ramps gently with Mcarbo non-abrasive. Then I fit my barrel I paid only $600 tops for even if it was a blank that I had chambered, threaded, crowned, and coated and carbon wrapped. And I coat the extensions in either Titanium Nitride or Nickle Boron btw. It's a handy trick and it prevents galling, which you'll also want Aeroshell 33MS for. I then check the headspace with Pacific Tools extension headspace guage set. They're very handy. I also like their throat erosion gauges but usually skip that if I didn't nitride coat. I use a custom CNC'd tool for checking thread to bore concentricity because I'm not too poor for suppressors. I install my gas system, trigger assembly, etc etc, and then I push my pins. You are nothing compared to me, you're a lowly poor and you play with chinese things.
McGowen's custom barrels can easily exceed $700 so again, thanks for displaying your ignorance. "I get custom-" nothing because the number of axi a CNC machine uses does not impact quality, just the time it takes to produce the part but congrats on thinking you said something. You need to de-burr regardless of material so again, thanks for running your mouth. Oh no you have parts heat treated like the rest of the industry?!? Better watch out, we got a badass over here!!! You literally haven't said anything at all. Galling by the way has to do with tolerances, not the coating of parts you utter clown.

In case you want the breakdown, a McGowen 416R barrel in 6.5PRC, heavy palma, spiral fluting, $743. I love exposing people like you.

Galling is the "welding" of materials when there is a transfer of molecules under stresses like friction. It can be prevented by coatings you utter clown. You're hysterical. You do nothing but type. I make rifles. Go count your change for 3 boxes of steel case. I'll fire off $1000 rounds of brass case from any given select fire rifle and go fishing by lunch time.
Incorrect. Galling is caused by tolerance issues where the metal rubs off of the action parts. That is day 1 stuff you just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. It has NOTHING to do with "molecules". If you think coatings protect against galling, your parts are out of spec and BAD.

(by the way, $1000 in ammo is only 2 cases of 5.56...I put more than that through any of my guns every hour I'm at the range. If you want to try another ♥♥♥♥ measuring contest, which you'll lose, by bringing up round counts, I can burn through barrels in a day so you lost that one already)

HOL UP! YOU GOT A DEFINITION FROM WIKIPEDIA? WIKI ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PEDIA?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I LITERALLY HAD TO SEARCH FOR YOUR BUBBA GUNSMITH CONCEPT OF GALLING AND IT WAS FROM WIKIPEDIA!!!?!???!?!?!?!?!? You can't talk to me anymore. You don't know jack and ♥♥♥♥ and Jack signed a restraining order against you.

You don't know what galling is and you are claiming a round count in an hour that would destroy a gas system due to heat. You lie through your teeth. $1000 worth of ammunition is typically about 2000 rounds. One of my quicker rifles is at 980 RPM. If magazines were unlimited it would burn nearly 1000 rounds in a minute, but it would absolutely blow the gas system and barrel out. I know because I have burned machine guns down over and over. You're not fooling anyone who knows anything.
YOU GOT YOUR DEFINITION FROM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ REDDIT NOT EVEN WIKIPEDIA!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU A WHOLE CLOWN!!!

You seem more intelligent than OP.
ITT: People larping as gunsmiths on a discussion for a gunsmith simulator game. The irony.

Nobody cares. It's a fun game for those of us (see: the vast majority, if not literally every single one) who bought it to ♥♥♥♥ around with guns.

I run my own company. If that's larping, I do it quite well.

Uh-huh, sure you do. And no, you really don't. No one running a company would come onto a sim game about there job and debate how there job actually works. That's childish. Just let it go.
