Bonus mission did not unlock

After playing castle colditz, the bonus mission did not unlock. I did find alle the books and the picture was complete. since i had a save file from just a minute before finishing the map, i checked if i had all books and ended the mission again. Still no bonus mission.

Saving Private Smith doesn't have a separate bonus mission - the bonus bit is the invasion at the end of the level

You cannot access the invasion part of the Saving Private Smith mission individually from the "Missions" menu.

i got that. i did get the invasion so i m good on that. but the bonus mission for colditz castle did not unlock. unfortunatly i did overwrite my save for castle colditz by just going to the next mission. so if i want the bonus mission, i need to do it all again

Hello FrenchAfroman,

I just tried this for myself and after collecting every Bonus Book in this Mission I could unlock Bonus Mission 8.
So this is working. However, Castle Colditz is a really huge map so there are areas in which you could get lost, especially with the collecting in mind.
Maybe this helps you, you can find the Books inside the first factory, inside the village at the top are three houses which have Bonus Books inside and the most you can find in the part of the Castle in which the prisoners are located. You can click at the top right Book inside the Interface to have a look into your progress and how many Books you need to collect before completing.

Please try it again.

Got the same problem. Yes I have al the books. I go in balloon. Mission ends, next stop 'Paris is burning'. Go to main menu no bonus mission either. GG

Same for me. Complete Colditz with all the books (and completed picture) and it jumps straight to Paris afterwards. And the bonus mission does not show up on the mission list.

Thought I would post here, as the thread seems to be about the bonus mission for Saving Private Smith. I have collected all the books and got the picture of Natasha. The invasion happens, which I successfully complete. However, I do not get the Heavy Metal achievement credit for finishing the invasion. Is there something that I am doing wrong during the invasion? Or could this be a potential bug?

Thx for nothing Dev. We are not fing stupid. all of us, if we missed a booked at the end , looked it up online and got it before ending the mission. There seems to be a bug on colditz for some players not unlocking the bonus mission even after getting all the books and double checking it.

I have the problem with Heavy Metal achievement like VSKaraga (I wrote in « Bug Report »)
If I understood, the problem is in two stages :
Saving Private Smith : we can play the bonus mission with invasion but the Heavy Metal achievement is not validated.
Castle Colditz : we can’t play the bonus mission even if the picture is complete.
But not everyone has the problem.
In the forum, we can see that the problem was already present early February.
My version : 1.11.006

Havent quite knocked over Castle Colditz, but will post here if I encounter the issue with the Bonus Mission on that level too.

For achievement bonus mission 8, this is not a bug.
I got the answer in another topic :
Mission 8 --> bonus mission : survive invasion in mission "Saving Private Smith" --> no achievement
Mission 9 --> bonus mission n°8 --> achievement : "Heavy Metal"
Mission 10 --> bonus mission n°9 --> achievement : "The Bunker"
"Victory" --> all achievements (10 missions + 2 training + 9 bonus missions)

Yep spot on. Having completed Castle Colditz, and getting all the Bonus Pieces, the mission with the tanks allowed me to achieve Heavy Metal. Currently working on Paris now. I assume that has its own bonus pieces, and therefore another bonus mission?
