Troy is still a better game than Pharaoh after Dynasty patch

I only play the Amazons because it's actually a challenge as you don't have cheese heavy armor units to use. You have to use light/medium armored spears and flank with 2h spears, and have a couple slingers to skirmish. So much fun.
So asides from Amazons that were not added to Pharoah...
Troy has cool heroes like oracles and spys were Pharaoh does not.
Troy has a better religion system imo. At least for Helenistic cultures.
Troy has a vastly better UI in all aspects of the game. It's so much easier on the eyes from the campaign to battles.
Troy has a diverse set of lords with unique talent trees.
All units are viable. You don't need to play the same army every single time to be able to win. Amazons the faction that I play have so many different options on how to play.
I don't like how provinces now have 3-4 buildings AND 3 minor fort things. This makes it a chore to build up each province.

There are a lot of downsides to Troy for sure. I just think it's better than Pharaoh after the Dynasty update.

I do not see Troy and Pharaoh (Dynasties) as "rival games", Both games received undeserved "hate" , because many people want Medieval 3...

In my case, I like Troy a lot, but the Pharoah is better in 2 very (or most) important things:
/ campaign AI - and anti player bias and faction confederation breaks campaign in Troy
/ combat - Pharaoh's combat is superior to Troy, and maybe one of the best in historical Total War

Tried the new Pharaoh Dynasties, but got bored and went back to Troy. I guess it's nice we have both games, but i really hope next historical game dosen't get so bloated with regions. Why not less regions but way more ways to upgrade and so forth? Your faction in any total war becomes godlike once you have 5 provinces or so anyway.

Very much so, it's like Troy was crucified because was exclusive to Epic and even when was given for free in the first 24h, people went on an unnecessary hate rampage.

Same thing to Pharaoh, now that Dynasties has been released with a price cut and a huge updates, people moans and stifle their nose of entitlements.

No wonder CA isn't going to release Medieval III if players have such an obnoxious attitude,

total war troy honestly rocks. I can play it fine on a wide monitor. it run well. it looks good. the gameplay like resource systems and gods is fun. the soundtrack is good. its got mythos too

Funny, cuz Troy is a Saga series (B-team) game, and it's actually better than their mainline title Pharaoh.
CA has rotted from the inside. It's living off the legacy and money it made from previous titles.

i like troy on all modes and like playing amazons too . the wh version is not as good as troy myths for me lol. as for pharoah , nothing wrong with the game if you got it a that recent discount

It was free on Epic, not that hard to have Troy.

Thrones of Brittania shipped with less problems, had stable balanced campaign play,and far less faehries and skeletons than any of the Warhammer blight.
