I had the same issue buying games direct from Ubi and having the dlc's not work on Steam. Not sure what the workaround is - in my case Ubisoft refunded.
Send a ticket to Epic support as they're involved with the issue activating the DLCs. Epic is unstable as a platform due to the constantly breaking and requires ongoing patches.
My DLC used to work last year I played the game, and before that.
I don't know what happened.
I think maybe it's because my base copy was acquired free from EPIC.
Something must have broken my game and now my purchased DLCs don't work at all.
Now I've finally got burnt. I don't think I'll ever buy anything from EPIC again.
No it shouldn't be because you had the free version, it's the same game in the same platform.
I highly recommend to contact Epic and get to the bottom of it.
Yeah, I have gotten in touch with customer support on EPIC.
Thanks for the advice.
The first response was swift and meaningful, and I hope this issue gets fixed eventually.
Great, hopefully they'll fix it without much delay otherwise request a refund of the DLCs if they're not able to fix the technical issue with their game launcher.
Turns out the problem is not with Epic.
It's CA and their crappy server.
My Warhammer 1 is also facing the same no dlc issue.
And all my TW games are saying "You're offline".
So I went ahead an got a online game network booster (game specific VPN, sort of). Boom, got connected to server, and finally able to access my stupid DLCs again.
Unbelievable.
you wanted to be cheap and go to epic. now you get why epic will never be the bigboy on the block cause it's trash.
should have bought it on steam that actually has well buildin mod support
