I can't region trade?

I thought region trading was available?
Am I mistaken or is something wrong with my game?

Is the option not available at all? Or is it just extremely difficult to get them to agree to the trade?

I was able to see it once when proposing a an alliance agreement, but I can't see a button to just gift a faction some regions.
I'm playing as Ithaca and the land locked regions are pretty useless so I want to give them to an ally.

You can only trade regions that are making sense to add to your or the trader partner's territory.
Territory that is far from your or the partner's territory will be not come up as an option.

Hmm that's interesting. I can't remember if I was ever denied the option completely, but I know that not all owned regions will pop up in the trade region list, maybe because of what the other guy said.

yeah the regions have to share a border, kindof a bummer.

The map are divided in State\Province. State are almost all divided in Region. Region have one Capital with 1, 2 or 3 sub-region.
What I realised with region trade it that you can only trade a region from a State that you own at least one region. Maybe I missed something as Killedinaction said we can trade when you share border. Maybe you can do so, but for sure you can trade in between State that you own at least one region in.

You can trade regions, but there are some (meangful) rules for it
I guess, the region must border with faction, if You want it to offer them

Or both parties need to have regions in same province, when we talk about islands.
