But i wouldnt go with WH1 ..WH2 is the way to go.
Getting really good autoresolves may take some time in warhammer tho but the endgame doomstacks you can build are very powerful.
If high fantasy annoys you, you will not like Warhammer at all. Troy at least has a historical mode, even though it's mostly just a diminished version of the other modes. But, even playing the mythos mode feels like a game much more grounded in "reality". There are lines of battle and the fantasy elements are limited. The battles in Warhammer feel a lot more like traditional RTS games where there literally is no line of battle. Magic and single entity units play a more more prominent role in Warhammer as well.
Another HUGE difference is the performance of Troy. It's amazing. The first TW game I've ever played that was fully optimized. This can't be understated. (I've played every TW since the original Shogun.)
I played the heck out of Warhammer, so I clearly like it. But, I've really enjoyed playing Troy. Don't let anyone convince you that Troy is a lesser game. Warhammer is around the same price, but there's about a ton of DLC's required to get the full experience.
This is true ..i didnt take that into consideration sry.
I like both historical and fantasy so i went with that mindset haha.
Battle in Wh are just real chaos with no real tactic I mostly just auto-resolve unless I really need to fight. So both are great for auto-resolve but Troy have more realistic battle system.
Units are way more diverse and vast in Wh but lot of them are just garbage like heliocopter, gaitlin gunner,...
With more factions and units Troy will clearly be a better game.
Yes, you summed up what you'll get.
Troy has 3 modes of playing the game campaign with the Myth DLC giving you the full Mythological monsters and fantasy units to battle with.
At the same time you can play as an historical TW title like the one you own. While auto-resolve works fine, the battle maps in Troy are really nice to forge battle with your army.
