I don't know why people didn't expect this. CA is one of the scummiest companies in gaming, of course they were going to stoop for epic exclusivity at one point.
Yeah and Rome 2 has faction diversity. Warhammer basically ruined historical TW for me. Whenever I play three kingdoms I go "WTF is my monstrous infantry and flyers?"...
the gameplay video made me think this was like total war arena....
Like many are saying, they should have either done a proper Bronze Age Total War as a historical title or an Age of Mythology style Total War as a fantasy title. This scuffed half/half is just dumb and will not draw either crowd.
