Stuck in flooded ventilation shaft

Hello,
I am stuck in a flooded ventilation shaft. I have used the welding equipment and then there are these shafts. When I use the right shaft, I get to the room with the two humanoids and when I go further, the shaft goes down and I can't see anything - with or without my flashlight. I only get to a point where the shaft leads up, but can't get there. And now I'm searching the correct way. :)
