FAQ
On this pinned post, here are some quick answers for questions you might have about Aeolis Tournament.

As more questions get answered, we’ll add them here.

---

What is going to be the price at launch?
15$ USD.

Which platform will Aeolis Tournament be released on?
Initially on Steam and Nintendo Switch. An eventual release is planned for Play Station 4 and Xbox One. On Steam, you’ll be able to play on Windows and eventually MacOS and Linux.

When will Aeolis Tournament be released?
We’re planning to release in Spring 2020 on Steam and Switch. This is still subject to change but that is the plan. We haven’t begun working on the Play Station 4 and Xbox One ports yet so there is no date set for these two platforms.

How many players can play at the same time?
Up to 8 players can play at the same time each with their own controllers. Obviously, you need enough USB ports to plug that many controllers but most of them should be supported. If a controller you own doesn't work, let us know in the Bug Report section.

Are there any plans for DLC? Free or paid?
Yes and Yes. We plan to make paid and free DLC available in the months after the release. Paid DLC will include a new character and a new game mode each and free DLC will include accessories. Obviously, how much DLC we end up making is dependent on the success of the game.

What languages will Aeolis Tournament be available in?
10 of them. English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese.

Technical Questions

X Input Option: By default, the X Input option is enabled in the game. This allows for the Steam Controller Support, Steam Remote Play and X Input controllers (XBox, Logitech F310, F710, Dualshock) to work automatically. However, if you want to use more than 4 X Input controllers, you will need to disable this setting.

Steam Remote Play: Supported. The X Input option need to be enabled in the game.

Steam Controller Support for PS4 controllers: Supported. The X Input option need to be enabled in the game.

As I said in another topic, it would be nice if the setting was saved. When you quit and relaunch the game, the XInput option is back on.

Just curious: is this a technical decision that you made, or does all games need XInput enabled for the remote play to work?

Hi Kak0,

Concerning your first point: thank you for bringing the bug of X Input not being saved to our attention. It wasn't intended and will be fixed shortly.

For your second point: We can't speak for other games, but we're using a Unity plugin to support all our inputs/controllers called Rewired. In their documentation, we are required to enable X Input to support the Steam Controller, Steam Streaming and Steam Link.

Thanks again for your comments!

The cross-play will be available shortly after its release on the Nintendo Switch. (when the patch goes live)

Hey. I`m having an issue with both of my Xbox One S controllers.

Sometimes the A button ("ok"button) works and lots of times not. I can, for example, enable both XBOS`s players in the select character screen with the A button, but after that seems that the game can`t recognize the button anymore. In the starting screen of the game is the same, I can`t pass the "Press A to begin". All other buttons seems to work.

Xinput is off, I have other 6 Xbox 360 controllers that worked fine. Tried using only the XBOS controllers and still the same. I`m using the wireless adapter for the all the controllers.

Just notice that the A buttom works with XINPUT enabled. Could you take a look at this issue? I`m planning to play with friends by the end`s year. Thanks!

Hi Dead From Above,

We won't support next gen controllers (Xbox Series, PS5) anytime soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Death From Above Jan 4, 2021 @ 12:40pm
It`s not Xbox Series nor next gen controllers, it`s an Xbox One S controller.

It is also a problem that can occur with wireless controllers. Sorry about the confusion
