Just curious: is this a technical decision that you made, or does all games need XInput enabled for the remote play to work?
Concerning your first point: thank you for bringing the bug of X Input not being saved to our attention. It wasn't intended and will be fixed shortly.
For your second point: We can't speak for other games, but we're using a Unity plugin to support all our inputs/controllers called Rewired. In their documentation, we are required to enable X Input to support the Steam Controller, Steam Streaming and Steam Link.
Thanks again for your comments!
The cross-play will be available shortly after its release on the Nintendo Switch. (when the patch goes live)
Sometimes the A button ("ok"button) works and lots of times not. I can, for example, enable both XBOS`s players in the select character screen with the A button, but after that seems that the game can`t recognize the button anymore. In the starting screen of the game is the same, I can`t pass the "Press A to begin". All other buttons seems to work.
Xinput is off, I have other 6 Xbox 360 controllers that worked fine. Tried using only the XBOS controllers and still the same. I`m using the wireless adapter for the all the controllers.
We won't support next gen controllers (Xbox Series, PS5) anytime soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
