Alright, so here's what you need to know:

1. You can buy this game on Steam, on the developer's website (which now has an English version) or on Nutaku. It's cheaper on Steam because all of the adult content has been cut. If you purchase it on Steam you need to go to their website and purchase the $4.50 patch (credit card only, no Paypal - although if it's not your first adult game, you're already familiar with this).

- The patch comes in 5 files that will set you back another 9GB (24GB when unpacked).
- Installation instructions are on the download page. After unpacking the bundle you'll have to run the patcher - which won't find the game files on its own (didn't in my case). If that happens to you: Steam\steamapps\common\CUSTOM ORDER MAID 3D2 It's a Night Magic\com3d2inm

2. Because the game was delayed, the devs offered some free cosmetic items which you cannot find on the same website you purchased the patch from. The easiest way to go about this is to launch the game and open the shop from the main menu (it will open a new tab in your browser). You don't have to register a new account, use the same credentials you did when you got the patch.

- Even though they say this on the website: you must have the game running in the background to download the DLC.
- Future DLC will most likely be present only on their store.

3. The game doesn't include the updates and content that the Japanese version has had over the years.

4. The translation is garbage. The menus are mostly fine, but the story suffers because of it.

! If you have played the game before: I encourage you to support the developers and purchase it.

! If you've never played the game before: You won't be bothered by the fact that they haven't yet re released all of the Japanese content. Despite the translation, you'll understand most of what's going on, and I'd wager you'll very much enjoy the game.

! If you're pondering whether to get this or Koikatsu:

- Koikatsu is the better of the two western releases. It has a perfect translation and I personally enjoy the graphics and customization more.
- COM3D2 has much more of a story and management aspect. It beats Koikatsu when it comes to gameplay and covers almost every fetish (ntr, sm, feet, peeing, edging, forced - those are just off the top of my head).

If you really wish to play this game for real, I suggest buying the game from Nutaku or KISS/S-Court Themselves as this, the steam version has locked out all the components required to train your maids in terms of progression and story, If you already have the game but still want the full COM Experience then spend 5 Dollars for the Uncensored patch from S-Court's store and specific content, but do keep in mind in the JP Version of this game there is actually more content missing in this game, so I 100% will not recommend you to buy the Steam Version as you are essentially a sitting duck with a lot of cut content and you're required to install things like Sybaris and a few things steam locked out

This helped improve my reaction time, I now alt tab at the sound of footsteps in like 6 frames

Don't waste your money on the Steam version of this game. As of October 2019 according to their blog (http://com3d2.world/r18/notices.php) the developers appear to have given up on making an R18 patch to add the adult content back into the Steam release. From what I can gather based on their...creatively written blog post (and based on my limited knowledge of software development) it seems to have something to do with how when the game auto-updates it wipes out the content the patch adds in, so they would basically have to fork and build a new R18 patch every time they update; I guess they don't want to deal with the version management.

Buy this game through the Developer store or on Nutaku; I sure wish I had, because as things stand right now all my $40 got me was a porn game where nobody takes their clothes off.
