EDIT. should be fixed now. I copied directly from my Facebook post so I didn't notice the link was cut short. Can you try again?
Nice! There like spot on, It must have taken you awhile to make them.
The biggest obstacle was the eyes - I remade Chocola, the first one I started on about 6 times. Then I figured out a trick to make the eyes better and I was able to copy that effect into all the others, cutting down time spent on the eyes. May not be perfect there yet either, but sadly the eye uh 'models' you can choose from don't 100% match the Nekopara eyes, so I tried my best with what I had ^.^
The rar file is really big though... 100MB seems a bit excessive..
I suppose I could upload some of my presets although there all the aloof type lol
I actually did this by making the shadow the main color of the eyes (the 3/4th of the eye that is darker) and the normal color of the eyes because the brighter bottom. This worked like a charm. Before I discovered that, I was pulling my hair out.
Not to mention I have a hard time replicating the default hair colors, so I cannot tweak them to my liking either. I wanted to change Maple's blonde hair slightly but it's very hard to fine-tune a haircolor to EXACTLY match what someone else has done. And the color wheel jumps up and down a bit much without the mod I had in CM3D2 that allowed small +1 increments.
Well, there's other such small things that can annoy me cause I want them to look as authentic as possible. But I won't list them all; once you know what I mean you might start noticing it too much and get a bit annoyed by those little things, like I am myself :P
That said I am pretty happy with how they turned out, even if perfection cannot be reached. And.. well, they closer resemble the VN catgirls than the actual OVA art does, so I guess that counts for something (I have to say this, I like the OVA art and can't wait for more animated Nekopara stuff, but I'm still disappointed that it's so different from the VN artstyle).
I really hope that once I add my CM3D2 maids that they'll have the proper clothing and hair... although I think that might be impossible. At least for a while. And I won't bring them to COM3D2 unless I have their own personalities in the new game, I think.
I'm sure there was a cat slit pupil in the jp version I had.. Might have a look. I'm going to have a look at the making mods guide, I know tattoos and the like are supposed to be pretty straight forward so I'm wondering if it'd be as easy to add pupil /iris types.. Its worth a look as I'm sure if it's straight forward enough I might at least be able to sort some different pupils out to share..
