Set Install Path (English version)

Hi all,

In the English version when you try to install DLC or the 18+ patch you get a message "Unable to find install information" That then results in you having to manually brows to the games install folder to install the DLC or 18+ patch.

This can take a lot of time, i have 16 DLC and then the 18+ patch.

Someone said this issue could be fixed by setting the install path in the Registry.

by browsing to here

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>KISS>CUSTOM ORDER MAID3D 2"

And once there adding a new string key called "InstallPath" and then setting its value to the games install folder for example "E:/steamapps/common/CUSTOM ORDER MAID 3D2 It's a Night Magic\com3d2inm"

So i tried to follow this but it made no difference. The DLC and 18+ Patch still give the same error. Is this information correct? or do i need to do something else?

I don't think that the registry entry is at fault. It seems to be the installer itself.

Someone on reddit helped me fix this issue. Turns out when the English version of the game gets installed it crates an entry in Registry called "CUSTOM ORDER MAID 3D 2"

But the DLC and Patch look for a folder called "CUSTOM ORDER MAID3D 2" its almost the same except this does not have a space between MAID and 3D.

So to fix this issue you need to go here in the Registry...

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > KISS "

Then make a new Key called "CUSTOM ORDER MAID3D 2"

Then in there make a new string called "InstallPath" and change its value to where you have the game installed.

Now when you install DLC it will automatically install to the games root folder so you don't have to brows to it every time.

The only thing it does not work for is the 18+ Patch and the Neko Works Complete Set. Both of thoes you will still need to brows manually to the games root. But at least thats better than having to do it with all the DLC.
