Report a translation problem
In all seriousness, right now I would say Koikatsu is a better buy since the translation isn't a pile of ♥♥♥♥
Koikatsu has a better character creator with several parts and voices to choose from. However, you are pretty much limited in terms of anything else to do and the story is limited to the original game characters
Custom Maid has only three personalities to start with with a few more coming along the way. The gameplay is a maid raising simulator where you send them out to train their skills, make money, or service you. you can build more facilities to give them more jobs and skills and you also get an Idol group's rise to stardom story as well as a thriving Restaraunt business story
Basically, if you want to make waifus go for Koikatsu
If you want more things to do but more limited in waifu personalities, get custom maid
I have both in JP and I enjoy Custom Maid a bit more, even if most of the content is NTR stuff that kills my soul. That said,,] in english, the translations do that enough already. Koikatsu's translations are competant while Maid's has things like Grocery instead of Glossary and "Hire a pacific maid" instead of "Specific Maid"
COM3D2 is character creator is limited but you can create maids of all ages and types essentially, It's only got 3 personalities, a little sister which is amusing, a super serious intelligent girl that cant function properly at times and a mature, young woman archtype, all three have interesting, If basic storylines and interactions, the game really needed a B**** type personality like in CM2 but we have to wait for that. H wise is about on par with Koikatsu but since it's a maid training sim, it's slightly more fustrating or annoying since Maids have a mental and stamina bar where as the girls in Koikatsu do not. It's not a big deal but If you want a "free" mode where you can do anything, you can't do that in COM3D2 untill you essentially have a pretty high, multiple level class maid with alot of stamina. COM3D2 has NTR which Koikatsu does not, Koikatsu is just a safe playground school allowing you to H any of the students without issue, you can't even get them pregenent or have one of them kill you for hating you like in Artifical Academy II. I couldn't tell you about NTR though, I don't have the heart to play it honestly and......well......being a man.....I don't like sharing ok lol
As for the strategy aspect, there is none in Koikatsu obviously, in COM3D2, it's extremely easy, you have to be a idiot honestly to not be able to make money lol. All it is having your maids service rooms in your mansion like a cafe or a restraunt and you make a certain amount of money depending on the Maid's stats which increase from working or by training by your head maid. You can open like 20 other rooms with the cash you make and you can have upto 40 maids working at the same time although you can hire infinite maids, the ones that don't work are simply not on the list of those working.
For translations, COM3D2 doesn't have the best english translation but it's not the worst thing ever, you can understand about 95% of the dialog but yeah you notice some royal screw ups once in awhile. I can't say for Koikatsu since I have a machine translation lol
If you really want my opinon though, just get Artifical Academy II and download a mod that simply add a maid outfit, you get the best of both worlds, just be aware Artifical Academy II is a royal B to install and run.
Hoped I helped and sorry for my shiz grammer, typed in the dark XD
Despite what anyone say's, there both fap games at their core and always will be lol
Oh I own a ♥♥♥ copy so I didn't know that although honestly I haven't touched Koikatsu in a real long time lol
still I just get AA2 and just download the HF patch for it that includes a pretty good english translation and other essential quality of life mods you want/need.
