Exploration
I read this in a guide:

Explore organically, not straying too far into scenarios where you don't have any goals. Only go places if you have a side or main quest, or something of similar importance (Like Gathering Resources). If you explore too much, you run the risk of not having new content to explore in the next characters. The game doesn't change much and the variety of original scenarios and situations is small.

Is this still true? How much should I explore. Should i just do bounties for money and ignore most new locales? What about mines?

Well, if true, for me, this is going to suck, I am 59 hours into the first character, had fully unlocked 7 perks with 3 aces away from my 8th perk completion & all weapon abilities unlocked by grinding due to endless exploring, doing bounties, killing everyone for a chance at seeing a treasure map, besides a load of issues & bugs that are just frustrating, not to mention I sold the 5 star amulet that makes you "slap faster", upon later research that was a huge mistake for a later achievement, so that also sucks

59 hours with the FIRST character? How is this even possible? Even "How long to beat" has an average --completionist-- time of about 37 hours.

While not tagged as an Open World game, it has functions that seemingly make it that, where sections of the areas are part of the world can be freely explored at any given time

I wouldn't measure a game on How Long to Beat, where if the goal is simply to 100% the game without having fun in your own way, what's the point in playing games for fun if the only goal is to beat it & move on, there's a reason why I have so many hours in Open World games which most AAA titles have me with 100+ hours, not to mention "over 800 hours in Skyrim & over 500 hours in Fallout New Vegas" as examples, because I love to explore at my own pace & this game allows you to do as you please

Essentially in this game, on the first character, I'm just grinding out Nimp Relics & Golden Aces, in which I have all weapon abilities unlocked for future characters & 8 fully completed perks for future characters, since they game allows you to do so, I have done so

But given if how the game stays the same through the next character(s), I may have ruined my point of fun factor then, since I basically drained the world already, apart from scripted story segment events, I won't have much to do rather than what I was already doing, grinding bounties & terror on the slopes events

Speed Run World Record for the game is just under 90 minutes, so in reality it's far less than How Long to Beat in terms of capabilities of completing the game

Okay, that explains it. I hope you didn't get me wrong, it wasn't meant bad, I was just curious. :)
