I'm tired of not being able to choose gender...
...Can you choose your gender? I don't usually care-- I've even enjoyed having a female hero. But it's become the norm, and that's boring. Why can you never personalize your character anymore? Ugh.

d.

NOT liking this thing so far. Should have gone with user reviews...

You play as men, women, a pigman and a werewolf.

I agree with @Spiffington, you get to play as all kinds of people/monsters, and the 1st character is basically the tutuorial, so it's gonna be pretty generic. IMO this game starts out kinda slowly, you have to give it some time, and it can definitely be kinda clunky when you're starting out but it gets better!

Nice bait.

I didn't mean it to be bait, but these days it is. I actually enjoy female characters (said -- really--- not defensively. I can't imagine anyone other than Alloy in Horizon. I just get sick of it being the norm. Also, I like to design my character. Anyway, enough here for me to give this thing another go. Thanks all.

OK
You never get to design-a-char in games that are story-driven, where the character has history in the game world.

The ones that work for any number of variations tend to be blank-slatey, and the ending is generic.

I just finished the bounty hunter scenario, didn't know it was episodes like that but losing everything i farmed all game for was kinda a bummer.

I'm under the impression that if you hire the Bounty hunter to your "party" you get all your gear back, just go to her inventory and transfer what you want to you.

Also the perks you unlock stay with you with all characters.

yea, you can recruit the previous characters to your party and they still have their inventory and skills you unlocked with them and they actually use them. also the stuff you got on your horse is shared across characters. its pretty cool.
