The real ending is the so called "Mindfulness" ending. The "Alone" and "Continue" endings, even if they let you see the game credits, still give you the opportunity to keep playing or start a new game from the main menu. But when you get the "Mindfulness" ending, the protagonist (and supposedly also the player) have snapped from the loop and you will no longer see the "Start" option in the main menu. From there, the only way to start a new game is to ERASE your data files in the "Options" menu.
The whole game is inside the trumatized mind of the protagonist who is trying to let go of his forbidden love WITHOUT the use of hypnosis.
During the very first loop, when you get out from the elevator and are still outside the apartment (the little tutorial phase), if you watch the paintings on the right and left walls, they portrait a wall filled with books (and the red book your wife is reading, that is needed to achieve 2 endings, including "Mindfullness") and a flower (wich is the name of your mother, necessary to develop the ending phases of the game).
The other paintings inside the house are also manifestations of the real world, rappresenting the problems the protagonist is facing (incest, unfaithful couples, fear of losing someone).
There is also a particular interesting painting near the fridge that, at least for me, seems to be morse code, but I still have to decipher it.
Cool game over all, I played it day one thanks to Xbox Game Pass. I could raccomend it if it not was for the horrible optimization... You can't have only "Low" and "High" as Graphic Options in 2021. Resolution changer, window mode and Antialiasing (only On and Off) are not enough.
I know the game is made in Unity...but pls, give us more Graphical Options. There is not even a frame cap of any sort, not even Vsync, so is either sub 50fps or 90fps with that sweet jumbo jet effect of my lovely RX580... :lunar2youraughingpig:
Edit:There is actually a way to continue the story after the mindfulness ending
You keep saying there are two endings but actually there are 3 endings that can give you the Credits.
And as I said before, only "Mindfulness" is the one that "cut you out" from the loop of the story, wich is the loop of the game.
I mean, I get why you think the watch is magical, but in the end the logical explanation (the one that "Mindfulness", but also "Continue" leads you too) is that the father's watch is a device used for hypnosis.
Besides, both the clock in the father's library and the watch, even if different in size, are the same object.
The watch in 12 Minutes it's ike the Tea Cup in the movie "Get Out".
Is like a tool that rappresents an opening, or closing, of the mind.
You need to get all the endings (3 that lead to credits and 4 that lead to a loop reset) to understand that is all inside the mind of the protagonist.
Also, the game gives a big hint about this when during the first "past memory" you see the father with hair, but in the "original past memory" he is the "Policeman". So...
Edit: Really? How can you play past the "Mindfulness" ending without erasing your save file ?
Meaby you are confusing the "Mindfulness" ending with the, quite similar, "Continue" ending (also called "Blissful ignorance" by some).
When the father starts talking again, an option to "Change your idea" will apear. Now you need to quickly click on the clock (hehe) in front of you, on the book shelf.
Keep watching the clock until it reaches 12 o clock, the voice of the father and the text of the option will fade, and credits will roll.
When a game file with this ending is launched again, you will not be able to continue or even start a new game, since these options are now gone from the main menu.
The only way to start a new game is to erase your save files from the Options Menu.
Can you pls explain the process on how to keep playing after the "Mindfulness" ending without erasing your save files?
I must be missing something.
What you are saying is impossible after the "Mindfulness" ending...
Edit: Dude, just watch the ending and let it go of your fantasies XD

I usually never play games on day one, but this one was quite interesting, flaws aside.
