I can't launch the game.

Every time I try to launch the game, I get a message saying "Invalid game executable:C\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FallGuys\FallGuys_client_game.exe." The game doesn't even start, it's just the little box that appears before starting. I have:
1. Checked for updates on my computer (none needed)
2. Restarted my computer
3. Reinstalled the game, this was a temporary fix. It has since gone back to not working.
4. Checked for updates on Fall Guys (none needed)
I've had the steam version of the games for years (since launch). and (to my knowledge). this issue has never happened before. I haven't seen anybody on Reddit have this issue. I may have to migrate to my Switch :(

Try deleting EasyAntiCheat folder within FallGuys and try relaunching.

It also could be an issue with your antivirus. What version of windows?

I have windows 11 (the version of the computer right?). As for anitvirus, I have the free version.

I deleted EasyAntiCheat's folder and it didn't work. An even smaller box appeared that basically told me that EasyAntiCheat is required.

Try verifying the game files. After that check if it’s working. If not try going into the Easy Anti Cheat folder and open the setup executable. There click on install or reinstall service. Then try to start the game again.

I couldn't fix the issue and I'm getting the same message.

There is a document or folder (I don't know exactly what it is) in the EasyAntiCheat folder called "EasyAntiCheat_x86.dll" that contains the x86 in the message. I have tried removing the document, and the game didn't try to launch. The message might be saying that the x86 file is invalid?

It was my antivirus blocking the game file! I was able to launch the game successfully after adding an exception. Maybe your antivirus is blocking it, too?

Open ur libary where ur games are listed up on the left side > right click on Fall guys > Properties > a new windows will open > click installed files >> check installed files for errors

try that and relaunch

I can now finally play it (I did the verivy and such, but nothing helped). What helped me is to uninstall the game and restart the pc, and then install the game on another disk. Then my visusscan gave a new notification and I made an exaption for it.

I just learned it was my antivirus that blocked it. I was launching the game today (uninstalled and reinstalled the day before for temporary fix) and antivirus showed up to tell me it quarantined the game. Thanks for clarifying this is a problem. :D

AVG Antivirus Free. That's what the shortcut says.
