Controller Support Issues

For a long time now my game has been having controller issues. It's basically fighting between using my mouse/keyboard and my controller. I'll get button prompts switching back and forth between the two, and the buttons I press on my controller don't always work.

On top of that, if I move around my right joystick the mouse cursor (which is always on my screen) moves around.

Does anyone know what the issue is and how to fix it?

You should check your Steam controller settings. I think Steam moves the mouse when you’re using the controller sticks
