Why do so many people play it?

Disclaimer: I don't want to include my real opinion about the game, I am just interested in why it is SO popular and so many people play it. I tried to look at it at least as serious as I could and all I see are some fun games that get repetitive very fast and no real things except some cosmetics to unlock.

I would really like to hear your stories and why you are enjoying the game :)

Seen footage of it, instantly seemed like lots of fun. A platformer battle royal is a conception I enjoy, even if it's gonna be flavour of the month or whatever.

I enjoy the goofy randomness, being placed into fast paced minigames with 59 other strangers, unlocking cosmetics and progressing seasonal content. It's a great unwind game you can just chill with and the prospect of new features and game modes, new maps, new cosmetics and new seasonal events will keep game play interesting for a long time to come.

It's a game that hasn't been made for some reason where it's a giant obstacle course. Throw in some crazy physics and 60 players and you got something pretty unique and chaotic at times. Don't know how long it'll last, but I'm getting a lot of fun out of it. Just wish I didn't get disconnected sometimes.
