I don't understand whats so game breaking about not having names. I agree that we definetly should have them but why do they matter so much that you wont play the game over them?

even when i play with a party it is almost impossible to tell who my teammates are if I go down and spectate. let alone the fact that it is impossible to distinguish anyone else as well.

It is indeed that simple. The issue is that they were using your Steam names originally, but because Steam doesn't censor names, they decided it wasn't for them, rather than having the foresight about this before launch and creating an in-game naming system. So yeah, lazy.

Why is this such a big deal? Why does it matter if your name is Fall Guy 1234 or xXsnipergodXx? If anything, its probably better if they don't implement names because I don't want to see all the ways the 12 year olds can sneak the N-word into their name. People are gonna bypass the system and are gonna have names like BigD!ck69420. No thanks

Makes it hard trying to watch your friends play if you get eliminated is one of the major reasons in my opinion.

Exactly this ^^^. I don't want to see your 1337KewlUsername. I kind of like the names as they are right now. It's as if to say that no matter how much you try to make your fall guy unique, it's just another bumbling jackass stuck in a perpetual nightmare of pratfalls and klutzitude.

Also, EVERY software application encounters issues that were unexpected. I can almost guarantee that the devs of this game are not lazy. Yeeezus ... I'm sure that when you guys provide hours of entertainment for 10's of thousands of people, you're absolutely impeccably perfect.

"Just doesn't make too much sense to me, saying it's not a priority while creating dif systems and swag for it. Feels more like ignoring steam situation and creating content for ps4 users, should probably remove ps4 names as well if that's the logic, since there is no need for them apparently, but i'm pretty sure that wouldn't go over well.

Almost gives a feeling like i'm playing with bots as well...

That and sharing names since they limit it to 9999 is stupid as well, and theres no way to make friends with anyone while ps4 users could easily.

All they need to do is add a toggle to show steam names or fallguyxxxx
