Fall Guys Fall Forever Update : Another nail in the coffin
Basically we had one game that started off great, full of problems xD, 60 players, servers couldn't handle it and no anti-cheat, they solved it by increasing servers, but it took them 3 months to put in one decent anti-cheat, by the time that happened the game had already lost a lot of momentum, it took them another few months to put the beans with our usernames.

The game remained like this for 2 years with changes and bug fixes, the first major change they came up with was to decrease from 60 to 40, I could find lobbies with 50 or more players, didn't see the need for this to happen but oh well, I accepted it.

Fast forward another couple of months and they announced it was going free-to-play, reason? Locking all items behind a pay wall, it was even thought that going free would bring more players, but I feel that wasn't the case, because if it did, why decrease from 60 to 40?

Last year (2023) they introduced the creative mode, all good, it's something new, what wasn't expected was that Fall Guys would become 90% creative and 10% Unity.

And we arrive at last week's update, decreasing once again the pool from 40 players to 32, soon they'll only be decreasing it to lobbies of 5 players... Maximum of rounds are 3, this is surreal, Fall Guys is a game for multiple rounds, 4 normal and 1 final, not 2 normal and 1 final.

The roundpool they announced, 40 creative maps, 13 Unity.... Why? It's just stupid! I don't like creative, if I wanted to play creative I'd go to discover, it just doesn't make sense to anyone, people complain that they want the old rounds back, and they push for us to only have creative rounds.

Let's talk about squads and duos, if in solos you make 1 mistake you're automatically eliminated so in squads and duos where you're paired with brainless people you never have a chance to pass the first round. It's terrible, I could even accept few rounds in solos, WHAT I DON'T ACCEPT, but in squads and duos 3 rounds it's impossible to pass the first round with a random team and even with a team that knows how to play, one mistake from one and it's over.

In short, I'm finding myself playing this game less and less, today they released a couple of updates on Twitter saying they'll increase from 3 to 4 rounds, 3 normal and 1 final, they're listening to people but not fully listening.

Funny thing is, I say they're listening to people but in the post what they say is that the roundpool will remain the same, meaning they're going to do the favor of adding one more round but keep 40 creative levels and 13 Unity, it's playing with our faces, we say we want the original rounds and they say YOLO take some more creative rounds.

They talked about finals that they're going to take a look at, what look do they need to take? Remove the creative finals and only put the Unity finals, is it hard?

To summarize the summary... Leave creative in discover, have like a tab in the game with polls, or use explore/discover, the 5 most voted maps in that month to be included in the roundpool and the others that were there jump for a while.

Is it too complicated to think like this?

Great analysis , fully agree!! I litterly stoped playing since last update as i dont have fun anymore ..
I have to agree as well. I feel like the rounds are definitely too short and they are doing the same thing as when Fortnite first updated and the storm moved way too fast. It is ruining the experience when so few players are able to move on to the next round. I think it needs to return to how it was before with the increased player count in lobbies and allowing more teams to (duos) to be able to progress....just feels too rushed and the XP you get is basically nothing.

Fully agreed, I stopped playing completely since the last update. Been here since legacy season 1 and the finaly update for me was the nail in the coffin. That's it for me.

Scentric basically launched this post on his twitter asking to separate the mods, Knockout Unity (Only Unity Levels) and Knockout Creative (Only creative levels)

This is just a streamer / fall guys youtuber doing a request, doesn't mean it will be granted, but right now it's a huge W since these kinda streamers tend to have more visibillity then this steam and twitter postes.

I prefer it that way as well but there are some players that like creative so to make everybody happy, just make a Unity Knockout and a Mix Knockout (Creative + Unity lvls with decreased unity lvls on this shows, like it is right now)

That way MT has enough time to make some new Unity levels every, lets say 5 months? Imagine this, each 5 months they launch 3 or 4 unity lvls.

Other thing people are complaining is that this way the Unity Show will get old pretty fast, I have yet another solution, pick 2 rounds from each season until creative and make 3 or 4 shows and rotate it each 1 or 2 weeks, that way we can have fun and master a level.

Add to it that most levels are much shorter. There are rounds that take less than 10sec (e.g. whole squad 10 rings...). How can something like this pass testing?

It feels like I spend more time on queuing lobbies, loading levels and getting rewards than I spend actually playing the levels.

I bet none of the devs plays the game. They have no idea why people play(ed) this game.

Unfortunatelly its still only 32 4 rounds (3 normal 1 final) on solos, duos and squads are ate 40 but it's a huge W none the less.

Keep making some noise beans and let's se if we can get the last setp (5 rounds - 4 normal 1 final)!!
