What makes them not do this feature anyways? It would make the patterns look more fitting at times, as I said, I like the paint pattern, but it could match well with my color skin, but the chocolate drops on my mint skin instead of the opposite, making it look quite ugly in my opinion.
They really wouldn't lose anything, as many could actually want to buy more colors to match it with their pattern, while not allowing us to invert colors would make us only buy a pattern.
To the Mediatonic devs:
C'mon, I know you could it Mediatonic devs, it's your choice but it would make the game feel more 'comfortable' and 'nicer'. Can you add the feature please? It would be a huge favor for many players, will you add it? Thanks :)
If the colors were applied as-expected, where the primary color is also the primary color of the pattern--I'd have no complaints.
