The developers finally admit that the game is dying
Lobby size has been reduced from 60 down to 40 at the disguise of faster matchmaking times. Nice to see that devs finally admit that the game's server will be shut down soon. Imagine paying 10-2߀ for skins you could earn for free before the game went f2p. Have fun with the fate of games like Rumbleverse, Knockout City and Babylon's Fall.

they never said that they will shut down the servers and they did that bcs it takes some time to find 60 players and most of the games start with 40 anyways

Remind me in 2-3 years.

The only acceptable excuse for selling the skins, especially at this price, would be frequent updates with quality... Now what do we see? Seasons lasting for 4 months and infinite events rewarding recolors or shoes lol.

From time to time I check the forum to see if a miracle happens, but by now I don't even have it installed.

Clearly they just want to get some money to cover what they paid in the game, and eventually close it. I just think they should release a bot feature so people who like it could still play offline when this day comes.

Online game + no new content + trash events + overpriced stuff = lack of players

That is a pity, I liked it

Devs are incompetent, and even if it's heartbreaking (this game has so much potential), we have to accept it eventually, and stop playing or play just once in a while when a new season is released for instance.

Today they announced that from now on seasons will last longer, that the vaulting process will go on (they'll add a few rounds back and vault others).
I really thought they were working to put all the rounds back in the game, and that it was the reason why the season was so long, but I was too optimistic, those devs can't do anything, if they worked in a serious company they would have been fired long ago.

I feel scammed cause I bought the game here on Steam on day 1, and even bought Showbucks during F2P season 2 (when all the rounds were available), and now they "vault" half of the rounds. I didn't spend money for this junk.
Nevermind. Won't get fooled again.

they also announced that a creative mode aka map editor will coming with the next season. we steam users are scammed thats right. i guess a workshop support for named map editor will never happen.

They probably did it on purpose to primarily optimize performance for the Switch and then claim the primary benefit is faster queue times. Well of course matchmaking times suck in solo show when nobody it anymore ever since they added skill-based matchmaking and took half the maps away through "vaulting". They've wanted to lower the players down to 40 for almost a year now when it was first implemented back in April/May 2022. Of course the feedback was all negative at the time so they put it back to 60 players and actually listened to the players for a change. Now they figured out an excuse to do it again. First they intentionally vaulted almost half of all maps (and many variants) for months, most of which didn't have any issues, didn't fix a single one during that time, and then waited patiently for people to stop playing the game. Now depending on the time of the day, region, and skill bracket, there's a good chance the game struggles to reach a minimum of the 40 players to start or takes too long to start.

So now they have their justification for lowering the maximum players to 40 again which is what they've wanted ever since they decided to port the game to the Switch. It's a sad day for Fall Guys.

I'm afraid that all the problems in the game (vaulted rounds, 40 players, glitches...) are due to the Switch.

I can't believe they released the game on Switch and enabled crossplatform, without thouroughly testing it.
Now we're stuck with this, unless they disable crossplatform with the Switch (which they won't do cause players will be mad).
elle is mine. Feb 22, 2023 @ 11:38am

I love this game so much. All I want now is the 2B and Bomberman skin. Now I see that the Seasons are going to be longer, reduced lobbies, vaulting, and all resources used up to make the level editor really makes me sad. This is very disheartening. I love the crossovers and there are so many themes to cover. I bought the game in the middle of Season 2 and will always keep the good memories I had playing with friends. I don't want this game to die. :(

Not to shill too hard, but leaving Steam could not have helped too much.
