Hey come on now, monkeys are pretty smart animals, as they say put enough monkeys in a room with typewriters they can write Shakespeare. I bet if a monkey actually played this they could win a crown or two. Humans on the other hand. Oooof.
Ok I take that back, I'm atm in a "Squad" with 1 other person who can't even complete the first part of Knight fever and keeps falling off the map lol.
I'm suspecting these people are probably small children on the switch, so I can't really be mad at them for it.
I don't believe skill-based matchmaking is being used in other than solo matches because how can a seasoned player not know to go through the door that is already crashed in by all the other beans who have crossed the finish line watching your teammate try to crash all the other doors instead of going through the open door. Or who quite literally haven't figured out how to jump over the threshhold. I was once a new player so I know it takes time but I thought the newer Matchmaking would help alleviate that.
I'm about to give it a try right now, but idk if it only counts people on Steam or PC as a whole lol.
edit: Ok nobody plays with crossplay turned off lol, unable to find a match with all modes selected, I queued for 7 minutes, guess I didn't find the answer lol.
I had the get 4 silver medals in squad games quest the other day, and spent hours doing it because i kept getting 1st to 5th place and still my squad got eliminated round 1.........
And the quest doesn't count when you get eliminated.
Oh and it makes sense that solo has matchmaking, because its so hard compared to squad.
I kept wondering why i didn't see any noobs in solo like i do in squads.
It only helps when they want to play every time you do. I have a regular DUO partner but I have more time to play than they do. We used to pick up two decent randoms for squads before FTP.
