Legendary items

Are all the legendary items always cash-currency? I want to get the achievement for wearing all legendary equipment, but I'm not gonna spend money on the game.

Unfortunately the only way is by spending money now or waiting a while for it to come to the shop with the free currency. Or by getting the battle pass but even then you still need a legendary colour.

Pre epic there where leggy items for sale for the purple kudos, ~10k ish per item, + they where in one off the season passes back than aswell. ( i know this doesnt help you atm but so you know the avg price it was back than). So i recon atm how it goes now just have patience and check the store when it resets ea time and see if something leggy is for sale.

here's how you do it: grind the battle pass until you have enough show bucks to buy legendary stuff. will take a few seasons, but still entirely possible for free for new players. and for returning players, just grind this one and boom ez purchasde

I've just purchased the current (Sushi) legendary pack because I liked it, wanted to complete the steam achievement and it said LEGENDARY underneath it. Unfortunately it is in fact regarded as EPIC in my wardrobe and hasn't fulfilled the achievement.

New players have to purchase their battle passes, meaning that if they're grinding battle passes they already spent money on the game to even have a batlle pass at all so clearly aren't beyond spending money for cosmetics. You can't get show bucks for free as a new f2p player. Only legacy players get that privilege from their one free battle pass and legacy players aren't generally new to the game. They already bought the game, and played it at least a little bit before it became f2p.

For those who aren't new you're not going to get any legendary items if you want to ever have a free battle pass again since all those show bucks are likey going to go towards buying next seasons battle pass for free instead of some silly cosmetics if they're like me and would rather keep having battle passes since you get a lot more out of them than a one time costume. If the first battle pass is anything to go by the next one will be around $9.99 which would be about 1000 showbucks which just so happens to be just around the amount you can earn in a battle pass if you fully level up, meaning if you want next seasons battle pass without spending any money you need to save up this seasons showbucks for that, and not spend it on any silly cosmetics.

From that perspective, no it isn't really as easy as you're saying.

Wow, thanks for the knowledge. I had no idea the Battle Pass was actually a paid part of the game. That's pretty unfortunate really. :/

and to complete it you dont really get much of any progress for just playing anymore, its just from the challenges. Which is all on purpose with how long it is to try and get you to buy the tier skips. The cash shop in this in completely predatory. I am just glad i have a bunch of skins from the original version of the game because $10 for a skin in this game is insane
