If it was 100% luck I wouldn't currently be on a 8 streak on times winning Lost Temple in a row, which made me want to make this thread, since it made me think about how funny it is that people refer to Lost Temple as a luck map when you can win nearly every time if you know what to do. People like you say it's luck cause you're bad at it.
It's also so dull and repetitive. You play Fall Mountain once and you've pretty much experienced how it's going to go every time, with very minor variation changes. Lost Temple has the benefit of being a new experience every time.
Lost Temple is 100% luck based and no, there aren't any patterns
The game needs a practice mode, ideally a ghost mode so I can practice the track.
Aside that inconvenience, all the youtube guides are pretty much invalid now as the track features backtracking now.
Oh yeah also, speedrunners are damned plague in this game, one time I watched a guy gain on me using some sort of trick in which he impulsed himself through the conveyor belt at mach speed.
Well... it's competitive multiplayer.
Keep slamming yourself into doors that will never not be locked so that it can give me a head start to the correct door, while you blame rng. Your attitude only give people like me an even bigger advantage at Lost Temple.
I think what can really help in that situation is to practice in the finals marathon. Since you're only going to have 6 people as competition it's not so likely you're going to get stuck with really good players statistically speaking, which means when you inevitably either fall mountain or Lost Temple it's a great time to just practice getting better at the obstacles, and patterns since you only have one person as competition, then to apply that knowledge when you have to face off the good players in Main Game.
Because it's the most common finale (source: https://fallalytics.com/roundsall )
and it feels like it has been for many months now probably factors into why people complain about it. It's also very punishing as it can be pretty hard to recover and win if you fall even slightly behind. One mistake or one bad door guess is all it takes to lose it sometimes. Some players probably rarely make it to the crown room which is evident by some of the lily pad struggles I've witnessed in there.
Comparatively, in hexagone there's more room for error and mistakes aren't nearly as punishing, untill you get to the bottom layer of course. Also, being the first bean on last layer doesn't guarantee you'll lose on hexagone either. It's nice to have this kind of variety in the finales, with more coming soon.
