Why is the Perfect Match map so laggy?

Not sure what you're talking about. You might want to try in this order:

1. set the correct server region according to your location in game options
   
2. restart the game
   
3. restart Steam
   
4. restart your computer
   
5. restart your router
   
6. reinstall the game
   
7. reinstall the latest graphics drivers
   
8. use LAN instead of WLAN

and see if any of these fix your problem.

If all that doesn't help, get a better computer and/or internet connection.

What I meant was FPS problems. My FPS is just okay when I'm on other maps, but for some reason, I get massive FPS drops when I'm on the map "Perfect Match". I have a decent internet and a gaming PC. And I have already tried what you have suggested.
My PC specs:
Intel Core i5
NVIDIA GTX 1650
8 GB RAM
Windows 11 Home

Too many beans.

This has been going on since season 6 launched. When around lots of beans in a small area, the fps drops. There were lots of complaints when season 6 launched on here, reddit & discord.

Perfect match drops for me as well, prior to season 6 all maps were locked 144, perfect match drops to 130ish now. Once some beans gets eliminated and it thins the beans out a bit, straight back up to 144.

I've not seen anyone who has had the issue report a fix.

Don't know if it effects everyone and some don't notice, or depends on how much of a performance buffer you have from your target fps. If I was playing at 60, I wouldn't notice it as it never drops anywhere near that.

Oliver did post a while back on fall guys twitter that fps drops etc are being looked into, but nothing since then.

i just back playing fall guys and notice this big prob, cant move properly with this lag~~
change resolution and others doesnt effect. seems something wrong with this game.

back then i can play on medium settings, but now even in the lowest, so lag~~~
this is worst~~
