You can get a refund no matter how many hours.
Title. Refund this trash and kill this game.

Only if you are extremely lucky to get the right customer service agent, but it it is highly unlikely you'll get a refund.

Also it's not trash, it's simply a different free account that is being used to the benefit of the gamers.

It's trash. I bought it on steam, I should be able to play it through steam.

You will still be able to play it through Steam. It's only requiring an Epic Account, that you log into right with in the game itself, and you won't be using the Epic Game launcher at all for the game.

well, it seems that they do not return your money if you spend more than two weeks from the purchase.

Valve have already given Mediatonic the money, so asking for a refund on Steam won't work. You'd have to ask Mediatonic for it. And I doubt they'll say yes.

Nearly 19 hours into the game and haven't played it in 3 months to come back to the steam forums to say the game is trash because it requires Epic Games... you're just one of those people that didn't care about the game anyways it seems.

I think valve can still use negative number on the balance of dev's steam acc. As long as the dev sell games on steam, there's always income for users who need refund, until the dev close their steam dev acc permanently.

Guess I won't be playing this game anymore. That sucks, because it was a fun multiplayer game. I was not able to receive a refund myself, but I have no intent or desire to create an Epic account just to continue playing. This is not what I paid for, and I will not tolerate this extra layer of forced DRM. I hope the short-term profit gain of selling out to Epic was worth it for Mediatonic.

That's not what the contract says. Valve and Mediatonic have a deal. Valve can't just declare that Mediatonic owe them for refunds they never agreed to and expect them to go along with it.

It probably was. I mean, they already made most of their sales in the first few months. They don't have to worry about any of the people who already own the game getting mad, since they got our money already.
The funny thing is that it probably wasn't worth it for Epic either. They probably thought they were on to a big thing, but we've all seen how the playercount drop. Epic are trying to force people to use their store, but I doubt they'll get many converts over Fall Guys.

Refunded.
The developers of this game are dishonest.
Steam shouldn't allow these things to happen, and it should fine the developers.

That would make Valve hypocritical themselves if they did that, since Valve did the same thing with Counter strike years after it released.

And if Valve started to add fines to their contracts that would be a good way for them to lose a lot of dev/pub business. Steam is only successful because the dev/pubs made it successful by putting their games on Steam, Steam needs the dev/pubs in order to be successful.

In any case, this situation is objectively bad, indefensible in any way, because it has made me and other users unhappy, disappointed, and in a certain sense also screwed.
We have every right to choose not to create an Epic Games account for various personal reasons, but by not creating it it happens that then this game becomes unusable.

I would like to hear an opinion from the developers, why this bitter choice, they could very well code a double server, so that users choose whether to play on the Epic Games servers with crossplay, or the Steam servers without crossplay, with a simple toggle option.

They refused me the refund, twice, what a great day :steamfacepalm:

Not even talking directly to steam support worked, they just don't give a :repoop:

It really depends on the customer support agent you get and how well written your post is. I heard some success while a lot of others have gotten a lot of "No"s.

If all else fails, delete the game from your account, make a negative review, and warn others about these terrible business decisions.

Ive been turned down for a refund
