Games Ending Too Quick

I've just played like six rounds and they keep ending without a countdown (or if there is a countdown then it's not finished when the game ends) and when there are still a bunch of people left. I haven't noticed this before, but does anyone know what's up? It's really annoying I can't finish any map.

The game ends when enough people qualify, not when the map times out with a countdown. Usually it's something like 42 people who get to qualify the first round, 28 who qualify the next round, then a survival/team/hunt game, then something like Tip toes or Fruit Chute where around 12-9 people qualify, and then maybe a round of button bashers where half of the players are going to be disqualified then the final.

It's a race. You can't just take your time and expect to qualify. You're suppose to be beating other people in that race by being quicker than them to qualify first. It's not the games fault you're so slow that you can't make it quicker than 80% of people.

I would recommend watching the players that qualify a lot and follow the paths they do to learn where the quickest routes are.

You made a lot of assumptions there, but I am asking if there was something done because the games were moving MUCH FASTER than usual. I've been playing for a long time now and normal races that were no problem over and over are getting down so quick it's hard to enjoy these speed rounds. Thanks for your thoughts though.

Sorry for any assumptions. You just made it sound like you didn't know that the rounds end when enough people qualify so it's not always going to wait for the timer.

If you're playing Hard Mode, that's why. I noticed better players tend to play Hard Mode to grind extra crowns so there's always a bigger sense of competition since most of the people playing in that game mode are pretty good at it so are going to be quicker than your average player. If you're just in a normal Main Game I honestly don't see what you're talking about unless you just got bad luck a lot one night. It's usually really easy to qualify in Main Game and even have time to mess around by the finish line for a bit, so I don't see the same issue as you.

I have had it on a mix of all four types of games. I'm going to try it again, maybe it was just a fluke. But it was just really weird where I would normally be getting through on the usual maps and during multiple games I was constantly losing after one or two rounds.

If you're playing squads it can seem like the games ends very early but you have to remember that once all the squads that can qualify the game is over. Sometimes it's hard to notice this in squads since you don't of the 0/42 Qualified overlay.

season 6 maps in squads do end too early, had this happen to me many times, thought maybe we were mathematically eliminated, but I had a round where 1 had finished and were in 7th out of 6 qualifying 2 of us were about to cross putting us in 5th and the round then ended just before we crossed

its a bug but i prefer it makes it much quicker don't have to wait ages for ppl to finish much better

Sometimes I watch the mediatonic guys on TWITCH and before season 6 came out they were saying some of the games would be shortened to get rid of some of the griefing that was going on in the games. Could this be what you are seeing?
