1. Open task manager, and locate LightingService.exe
2. End the task. You may need to wait a moment, and check to see if it tries to start again. End it if this happens.
3. Your RGB lighting should DEFAULT to whatever the factory settings were. This is your queue that the Service has ended.
4. Try to play fall Guys. If it works, then that was the problem. If not, you can safely reinitialize the Service In the Task manager "Services" tab.
It is safe to turn it back on after you close out of the game. If you try to turn it back on while in a match, you will be booted from the match.
Edit: If you want to disable the service from Startup, TaskManager has a Tab at the top labelled "Startup" where you can set the Service to "MANUAL". This will require the user to initiate the program before it can run.
No doubt. However, Kamu (Developers of EAC) have known about this issue for... Close to 4 years now I think?
The problem is that, EAC utilizes a scanning method to check System Services as a way to prevent tomfoolery. Of course, it's not fool-proof but it works.
The downside is that you get things like this issue, where clearly someone didn't pay enough attention to the fact that 90% of gaming parts and peripherals utilize RGB.
So yeah. If you want to report the issue, the people to mention it to would be EAC's developers, not Fall Guys (although you can still @ them if you want).
WELL I am using asus laptop and i am not able to find LightingService.exe in task manager so what should i do now?
Make sure you're looking is the "Services" tab in the Task Manager, not the "Processes" one.
yes i did looked over there
but not able to find that file
I can't answer that without prying into your privacy.
What I do know is that if you receive that exact same error, and it states LightingService.exe as OP states, you have that service running somewhere and TaskManager should see it (TaskManager should have vision of all things running since it was developed that way).
If your taskmanager does not see it under PROCESSES, you can check the SERVICES tab. The Services tab doesn't update or move around like processes does, so it's easier to identify it.
If you still don't see it in there, then there is a much larger issue.
okay and thanks for the info.
Technically speaking it should be in both. Which is concerning that it isn't.
I would suggest doing the following, Uninstalling Fall Guys AND Easy Anticheat, and then reinstalling Fall Guys. Fall Guys should install with EAC, so you only need to install fall guys.
If that doesn't work, then the next best bet would be to list off your RGB services. ICUE for Corsair, Aurora for Asus, and then there's a piece of trash RGB service for Gigabyte but I don't remember the name of it.
Finding those is a bit easier: They get installed in the C: directory of Program Files usually, and most of them Minimize to the "TRAY". Check both locations to see if any are running silently.
