Unrecorded was a bit before this where the same guy pushed someone off a ledge while floating over it.
The hackers are clearly evolving. They aren't content with just nabbing crowns now, they are finding ways to grief and ruin the game even more.
I saw two hackers working together on Seesaw to keep the final choke point tilted to the point where no other players could pass it. Luckily, there aren't many levels where they can totally ruin things, but it's also common for them to grief in two places on Slime Climb. They're just doing all they can to ruin the game now, because hoarding all the crowns wasn't enough.
It's an advanced technique that is risky because by pushing someone to the slime, you are yourself exposed to this technique. It work because pushing someone stop them in place. The cylinder keep rotating you kinda slide on it.
My opinion is that on the video is that the guy is trying to push in the direction of the cylinder which cause this weird repositioning and with lag it look like he's floating.
