Jump/dive + grab, how does that work?

How does that work? People jumping and grabbing, a tail especially, in the moment they land on their belly.
When I do it, it doesn't work, I have to get back up again before my grab command works, which is usually more than enough time for the other guy to pull distance again....

Quickly pressing grabbing after landing? Pressing them at the same time at the moment already when I initiate the jump/dive?

Because grabbing just when you land is kinda very powerful move, so you could close bigger distances, especially in Royal Fumble.

your ping is also a factor. ALL internet games you must account for ping. Compensate for ping. And understand B.S. lag will also pop in to finger you a hello.

It's a desync. In Fall Guys players send their location and animation to the server, and then the server sends it to the other players. You see someone 10 steps behind you but if they're laggy they're actually in front of you. You see them rolling on the ground or still down from their dive, but they're actually already up and ready to grab your tail.
