Split Screen mode?

Hey, love this game so far, i was just wondering how i can play it with 2-4 players in split screen mode, how to get the other players / profiles into the game??
i saw the splitscreen mode in a video and would love to play with friends together on one screen, like in the good old times :)

You can play local multiplayer with up to 4 others as long as each of you have a controller (this is being looked into to allow one player access to the keyboard).
At the present moment you can't load in other player's profiles, they will appear as Player 2, 3 and 4.

so, i think its normal that the game didnt found my G29 wheel as a controller !? ;)
So i can easily plug on a gamepad and the game will detect it as another controller and we can play splitscreen!?

You will need to plug in at least 2 controllers but otherwise, yes.

yes sure keyboard is always pluged in ;)

i try`d it minuts ago, and pluged in a gamepad. the game detected it correctly, i was able to control everything ingame with keyboard and gamepad!
but it was impossible to play with 2 players, the game was always controlling player1 with both devices, no chance of getting a second local player into the game.
is this normal at the current alpha status, or is there a bug?

This isn't something I've tried, but I would wager when the dev says "at least two controllers", they are specifically referring to gaming devices (which a keyboard is not classified as one).

hm ok, i dont have a second gamepad to test.
if thats right i hope it will be fixed in future, so that you can play local mit 2 players, player 1 keyboard und player 2 gamepad, this shouldn`t be impossible ;)

btw, love this game so far, reminds me on my childhood wasting hours and hours with slick`n`slides :)

Sorry I should have been clearer by controller I mean gamepad, not input devices.
You will need a gamepad for each player in local multiplayer, but as I mentioned before the team at OFG are working on fixing that (I'm part of the Publishing team Square Enix Collective).
