AI Feels Very Artificial
While you obviously face off against AI in single player games, the CPU racers feel like they all use the same version of it no matter the car/race/difficulty level. This makes for incredibly dull races, where everyone takes perfect turns on the same line with no errors beyond potential collisions.
It also makes colliding with CPU racers as a player ultimately meaningless, since every single opponent will make the minute adjustments necessary to regain their previous line. I don't know if this is supposed to be a competitive multiplayer game, but that isn't really an excuse for CPU racers with the exact same behaviour across every single car; especially when single player Grand Prix exists and is the first option shown on the Main Menu,

Good racing AI tends to have a mix of types, with some racers making more mistakes or falling further behind the pack while others are more competent and do a better job of staying near first place. Even when I play on the lowest difficulty, everyone does the same thing to perfection; leading to a very dull experience.

Has anyone else noticed this? And do the developers plan on addressing the problem? Or am I meant to search for races online and hope I can get 10 other opponents whenever I want to play?

It's the single reason I've had this on my wishlist since the (literal) day it was available to wishlist, without actually dropping the cash. 18 months in and no real single player additions. If it had a proper single player mode, and AI worthy of that (rather the usual cheap, line following AI in every game since Super Sprint) then it's an instabuy. But seemingly the devs are happy with their online focus and more power to them.

It is enough to make me consider requesting a refund. I don't care how much focus they're putting into the online features, this AI is unacceptable if you're going to ship with a single player mode. I could probably find more varied AI in some older retro racing games, to be honest.
