Big gap in AI skills
I just tried a "free" race with a lot of random AI players and ended up with half of the back way, way behind, and half of the pack in front.

Not very fun racing, especially since I couldn't catch up to the fast AI, and was way ahead of the slow AI.

(I also tried the single player "campaign" and again, way, way ahead of the AI plus I had to wait for them to finish, so it felt extremely early access.)

same complaint here, AI has to large of a gap in skill from one difficulty to the next.

Agreed. Amateur is fine. But even going to the next level is a huge difference. Especially when they all just do parade laps around in a perfect racing line.

anothe problem is the IA dont have the same degradation for tyres and fuel that we have. I have play a 20 lap race and i have to enter once to change tyres... the IA dont enter... dont even one of them.
this depend of the cars we are using and the track we are racing. Sometimes happend... sometimes not.
but the degradation is different for them.

That might be because you feel the pressure instead of focusing on the track.

But the Pro 1, 2, 3, ... AI make no mistakes, that could be graduated, the 4th arcade challenge is impossible without knowing the tracks very well.

There is no excuse the early access for the lack of content, the missing multiplayer option, all the Bad things i said in every post. The Game was in developtment for 5 years....come on... You can't be happy with this state of content.
I am waiting this Game for so long.....and i'm sorry to say....i'm dissapointment. Like I said in other post about the lack of content...look dyson sphere program....look valheim...Also early access.... I know there are differe t games..But they were reléase with tons of things to do.

Agreeing that the gap between difficulty levels is too big; I found myself easily beating amateur to the point of it being boring, but getting destroyed by pro-am over and over. Perhaps each level needs more of a spread, such that (for example) the fastest amateurs are a little bit faster than the slowest pro-am, and so on. That, or allowing a field with two levels.

I agree. I love the game but wow, the AI goes nuts from the 4th Arcade event I think. Ive been coming fiirst by a mile, and then i start in 12th after qualifying. LMAO They need to get that sorted, which im sure they will.

Yup. I'm with you guys. I'm playing the pro campaigns as more of a joke to see what will unlock. But I haven't left 12th place. I assumed it would operate like a real race where as long as I was steady and controlled my tires, fuel, and damage and had fewer pit stops that I would catch up with AI over time... Nope. AI doesn't get time penalties when they go to the pit it seems. They just stay in whatever place they were pre-determined for. I wonder if they even have any degradation like we do.

Essentially, you either completely destroy the AI on amateur or never win on any other setting. And the win is anti-climactic. The lack of being able to tune your car also impedes your ability to improve your chances. Ugh... I want this game to be something it isn't. I had such high hopes.

AI Difficulty
Loving the game....especially the car physics :-)

just wanted to echo what others have said - the AI difficulty REALLY needs sorting to get any long term enjoyment from the game. Also it would be nice to assign your own keys for driving as the cursor keys are a pain.

The difference with amateur to am-pro is so dramatically that on amateur you can lap them in 5 laps and on am-pro you will be lapped within 5 laps. Some amount of balancing needs to be done on the AI to make this progression more reasonable as it is a cliff edge currently and not a lot of fun to go from so far ahead to so far behind.

I thought it was just me!

I had a blast on the first set of tracks on arcade, then it just went to extreme difficulty on the second set of tracks with a car that was wildly uncontrollable.

I don't mind some variation on handling but it was ridiculous lol

100% agree.. the AI jumps very quickly.. and track knowledge is a huge thing...
problem I'm having is that I need to stop 1/2 times more than the AI.
Is there a guide to explain how I can help with tire and fuel consumption on this? I thought perhaps it was driving in rough ripped the tires but doesn't seem to make any difference?
Is the level up just for skins? doesnt improve tire wear or fuel consumption?
