Bulgaria weak
Bulgaria can be taken by the entente in 1 turn by proper planning, this is A-historical, a large entente build-up should automatically mobilise the Bulgars IMHO.

Thanks, I am going to make a change in this area to make Bulgaria safer against such a move.

If you go to the Matrix forums this has been a hotly discussed topic. They are currently discussing the best way to fix, second capital, different starting troop placements etc go and join in.

Yes, i know, i was one of the initators of that discussion. My opponent destroyed Bulgaria and then advanced on an unprotected Constantinople, i had to pull troops out left and right and ended up losing a game i thought i was winning!

Yeah, having seen the Bulgarian setup, I was very surprised to see how silly their setup was. They should have two corps along the Serbia border plus a couple of detachments (which should be at full strength), if only to forestall any BS Serbian move that puts their forces immediately next to Sofia. Bulgaria mobilized over 600,000 men (half in frontline armies) prior to attacking Serbia and the setup doesn't really reflect that. To put things in perspective, Serbia had 450,000 (about half in the front line forces) men at the start of the war and they have way more corps than they should have (there's no way Montenegro should even have a corps level unit, imo).

Seriously, they blotted out Monten egro? It's a freaking country!

Oh food for thought that I didn't put in my earlier post. Monten egro had an army of 50,000 in World War 1, so they should only get a detachment (the one at Cetinje?).

Also, the Serbian army is unrealistic in size. Their 1st and 2nd Armies were probably legitimate armies, though smaller than the other powers (they had about two corps equivalent each). Those should be represented as corps size units for the game. The 3rd Army was a bit smaller, with a few divisions and attached brigades. Taken together, one could argue for a corps sized unit for that formation as well. However, those should be pretty much the only corps sized formations available to Serbia. The Uzice Army was little more than a reinforced division and should be a detachment. Maybe add another detachment for some of the various border formations and Belgrade garrison (which is already represented as a detachment). That should be it for Serbia as far as forces are concerned. They probably shouldn't even be a separate playable country, but tied to Russia militarily and economically.

50,000 men is enough for a whole corps, not just a detachment.

Detachments are 30-50k according to the game. Corps are 50-100,000 (really more like small armies like the Serbian ones). As 50k was the high end limit for Monten egro, it should probably be a detachment.
