Naval Mines
It looks like the laying of mines is limited in numbers but does anyone know if there is a mechanic within the game to "minesweep"? It seems from playing that the only way to clear mines is by detonation with a ship.
Would be good to allow one existing ship type to clear laid mines if minesweeping type is not possible.

Hi

There is no mine-sweeping unit as such so it is important to plan ahead where to lay them, and leave a passage through any narrow channels should you wish there to be one.

It may at times be useful to set a path when sailing in order to avoid known minefields, and this can be done by selecting the unit, holding down Ctrl and then selecting a route.

How do I refill my DDs mines?

You can lay 1 per turn, providing the number on the map is less than your permissible limit.

The limit is 1 Naval Mine per Major + 2 per level of Naval Warfare researched.

So if a country has Naval Warfare level 2, it can have a maximum of 5 minefields on the map at any one time.
