The year started well, I'm happy with this update. There is not only correction and improvement, but also, new features! I sincerely appreciate the constant improvement in the Engine. Special thanks to Sasuke KANNAZUKI and triacontane!

●新增在遊戲啟動時顯示Logo的功能:您現在可以在「系統1」設定中切換「顯示啟動畫面」。該功能將引用「\img\system\Splash.png」圖片。
●如果您要將此功能加入到目前專案中,請準備自己的「Splash.png」,或者您可以複製並使用建立專案(新項目)時產生的「Splash.png」。
●改善「顯示圖片」和「移動圖片」的快速設置:現在顯示 X、Y 坐標,並且允許直接為這些設定輸入數值。
●在快速設置中新增了使用箭頭鍵移動圖片的功能:當使用「顯示圖片」和「移動圖片」時,您現在可以使用箭頭鍵移動圖片。
按住 Shift 鍵可將圖片移動到最近的網格,按住 Ctrl 鍵則每次移動一個像素。
為「場所移動」和類似命令中的「直接指定」增加了縮放功能:您現在可以在直接選擇位置時放大和縮小。
●在地圖列表的搜尋中新增可以透過地圖 ID 進行搜尋的「ID」功能。
●改善插件參數以記住摺疊狀態:插件參數的摺疊狀態現在將被記住。

●更新插件「AltMenuScreen2MZ.js、「BattleVoiceMZ.js」、「ChangeEquipOnBattleMZ.js」、「TinyGetInfoWndMZ.js」(dlc\BasicResources\plugins\launch)。
●新增半透明水面圖塊材料「Dungeon_A1_2.png」、「Inside_A1_2.png」、「Outside_A1_2.png」、「World_A1_2.png」(\dlc\BasicResources\tilesets)。
●修正 Outside_B.png(樹木)的點陣藝術問題。
●改善通知設定的使用者介面(用戶界面)和用詞,以提高文字清晰度。
●修正在所有敵人被擊敗後,「強制戰鬥行動」針對敵人時,戰鬥日誌顯示錯誤文字訊息的問題。
●修正在快速設置中,當圖片原點設置為「中心」且寬度或高度為負數時預覽位置的差異問題。
●修正在更改圖塊設置中的灌木叢屬性並以特定形狀放置自動圖塊時,角色不變成半透明的問題。
●修正資料庫動畫螢幕中「底部對齊」複選框在某些操作後取消選中的問題。
●(僅限 Mac)修正在某些視窗中切換標籤後按下 Tab 鍵導致的連續載入問題。
●(僅限 Windows)修正在某些視窗中使用 Tab 鍵和 Shift+Tab 鍵導航的不一致問題。

Cool. Hope this engine lives on, I guess. I don't know what's going on with Unite or MV, but hope MZ or a true successor keeps this series alive.

I do have a question though. With the auto-updating enabled, is there a danger of plugins breaking? I have quite a lot of plugins, some custom made, and I'd hate to have a Skyrim situation.

When you're making your game, you should not update to a new version of the engine because it can break things. You can always revert your engine version though by using the Steam Beta feature in the Properties menu of the engine. Make sure to make a backup of your game before any new launch of the engine after an update, just in case.

This is not necessarily true. You just need not to update the core scripts.
