Counter Skill?
Probably a job for a plugin but I'm having trouble finding what I am looking for.

What I want is a mechanic whereby the standard counter attack is treated as a separate skill to the character's normal attack - it's own animation, damage formula etc.

To make a bit clearer, imagine my ally is equipped with a sword for his normal melee attacks and a gun in his off-hand, shield whatever you want to call it slot. His gun will be only for counterattacking (like in Bloodborne) and ideally I don't want the gun to deal damage in any way outside of the counterattack (so maybe leave the Shield rather than Dual Wield.)

Is there any plugin that can help me achieve this? Only real battle plugin I currently have is the VisuBattleCore. Cheers.

I think Visustella's Auto Skill Triggers could do what you're looking for with the help of some JS note tags. It's not free but it's $5.
