Linux compatibility?
How long before I can make games using this engine on my Ubuntu and Arch Linux builds?

I second this! Am waiting for a native Linux version of the MZ editor as well! Just as we have for MV.

I second this. I have been using MV a long time on Linux and right now I have to rely on a virtual machine to run MZ. It works but having a proper linux version would make life easier.

I'm extremely unlikely to get this until they add support for Linux.

I would also love to upgrade to MZ on Linux.

I got MZ but fall back to MV as MV works a treat on linux.

Please make MZ work on linux

Getting it when there's a proper Linux version.

While it's not impossible that this could change in the future, there are currently no plans to release a Linux version of MZ.

Can I ask as to why there are no plans right now? Also are you able to push up requests on our behalf in the company?

I'm sorry, I don't have any more information on that subject at this time. Please be assured we are constantly gauging demand for features like this and will continue to do so. :)

Fair enough. But please keep us in the loop with any Linux activity. As this is an ideal engine to support the Steam Deck.

Bumping this thread to show that demand is still present for continued native support on Linux by current and future releases of RPG Maker and other game development tools.

Damn, still nothing. The program works and boots up, sadly it crashes and im not 100% sure of what's causing it.

Hopefully it's optimized later on to work on linux(even if it's via proton).
