I couldn't tell you who spends what on Humble Bundle, either. That, too, isn't really relevant to the original comment - and even if it were, that's substantially different from paying full retail price for a game. Nobody develops a game with the thought process of, "A ton of people will pay for this when I mark it down 75% and sell it as a package deal with other software".
New computers are almost always sold with Windows or Mac OS platforms pre-installed and non-optional. Mobile devices are almost always sold with Android or iOS pre-installed and non-optional. Gaming consoles are sold with proprietary OS platforms pre-installed and non-optional. A person has to go out of their way to reject other options and force Linux upon themselves in order to even have it as an OS. You're right that software developers base their choices on the OS platforms utilized by consumers. Linux isn't really on that list, because it isn't sold on consumer-ready purchasable devices.
Listen, I feel for you guys who like it as an OS, I really do - I've never used it personally and have never felt any motivation to attempt it. But, I respect that people like what they like, and competition is healthy for a productive commercial sector. Unfortunately, Linux hasn't ever positioned itself to be competitive from a market standpoint. Hardware developers know it, device manufacturers know it, and software developers know it too.
If you really felt for Linux users, you wouldnt have made that comment in this thread to begin with. You chose to make that comment because you think you are ENTITLED to your opinion. If you want what we want then either help us, or shut up. its just that simple. You came here looking for a fight with your comment.
Well, I've endured enough of that from you.
Oh and lots of people use pirated software for all those things you talked about too. Its crazy common its why Microsoft and others actually got divisions that all they do is set up tip lines and investigate people not paying license fees at their offices lol

Rather, it would be nice if they ungimped mapping. They broke it in MV, and tbh, I have no interest in MV or MZ with mapping the way it is.
oh, and btw ... linux is awesome (maybe not so much for games though)
Maybe they don't bother building it for Linux, but Android?
If you have the web version, you can easily create a node.js application with Electron and serve HTML files. So, there is a workaround for Linux.
For Andoind, you need to use Cordova to serve HTML files, it is more complex.
However, I also learned that some resources and plugins are available only for the specific versions. So, I'm not going to purchase MZ. I'd better purchase the resources or MV.
And maybe that is why there are no plans for Linux.
