Can resources from RPG Maker MV be used in MZ and can I publish 18+ games?

Stuff like tile sets, and DLC, cause I am currently making a game and planning on moving development to MZ so if the resources can be transferred it will be great!

Also is it illegal to make a 18+ game? I know Steam allows 18+ games, but does the developer allow me to publish 18+ games made with RPG Maker MZ here? I didn't read the fine print.

No, its not illegal to make R+18 games, you'd be surprised how many games are out with such format out there on sale.

Dieselmine for example has been using MV for for some of its R+18 games.

In order to be able to use stock assets from other versions of RPG Maker in your game, you must own the other versions you are using assets from.

If the tile format are the same size then yes you can reuse them on mz. If not you will need to convert them yourself. (but the result could be good or totally bad.)

Yes you can create porn game with rpgmaker.

And also if you use dlc asset for your porn game, read carefully. In some dlc's it's specified that you can't use them for adult game

So... Just to be clear... You DO care for assets makers that don't want their assets to be use in R18 games... And right adter you don't give a f*** about stealing assets...

People who steal assets are a huge stain on the game community... They are pathetic little low life thieves. People who don't see what is wrong with that, they are even worse.

Legally you must own the version that the assets come from. Whatever workaround you want to try abusing is on you, but generally people who want to release things commercially especially will do things the legal way, even if not out of fairness, "to cover their butts just in case".

According to the FAQ on the forums, MV assets should be compatible with MZ, "However, some may require some tweaking."

I think you get me wrong. I buyed 4 different version of rpgmaker and a lot of dlc, but i will never buy older version like 2000, 2003, xp just to use their old asset include in the engine.

You say "no-one will ask you for proof" for the older version...

It is okay if you don't buy the engines just for the assets... But then you should not use the assets either.

If you do want to use the assets, then just buy the older engines, dude. Those bundles often include all old makers ofr like $3 total.

Yeah i know i said it, but isn't it true ?

It's not because i buy thing myself that i will say to the pirates that the fbi will track them if they don't buy thing, i just say the truth.
