Hello Neighbor Alpha 4

I don't get it, what's the point of these separately listed alphas
with a release date of yesterday?

same. what's the point of releasing different builds of this game? did the game fail or what?
There's the new MP Hello Neighbor but they also released like 5 alphas for a game that came out well over a year ago right? it keeps showing up in explorer queue.

I'm seeing this in my "FEATURED & RECOMMENDED" (store front) section, why?
Devs should stop to flood the store with releases of the same game but different build.
@Devs: pro tip for you > use BRANCHES on the main game and so you stop poluating the store with uless releases, thanks.

Well, You see, The thing is, If you right click on hello neighbor in you're steam library. Then click on properties, Then you click on beta. There is a option to opt-in and opt-out of beta's for hello neighbor. And here's the thing, All of the beta's are just all of the different alpha's for hello neighbor. from: alpha 1 alpha 2 alpha 3 alpha 4 beta 1 beta 3 and the hello neighbor bendy and ink machine crossover. So why are they even trying to release these separate alpha's on steam if you can just download and play every alpha already? :HNSuspicious:

That is if you own hello neighbor on steam.

TLDR: Trying to release these alpha's on steam is pointless. :HNHmm:

People would want it, most of the alpha's are nothing like the full game, and if you don't have the game, you can play what came before it to get the kind of the same taste. I'm sure theres a lot of people without the full game that still want to play the alphas/ betas

I was gonna say that some people also want these alphas/betas because they want to play the game before they buy it, Or if they can't afford it but still want a taste of it.

Looks like you beat me to it. :greguniverse:
why not release a product demo then? Why release half a dozen alphas? Who cares about an alpha after 1.0 release? Much less who cares about multiple alphas. I don't get it but hey maybe it's not for me to get.

This or use branches as I mentioned in a single game, you can have a ton of versions (branches), including alphas and betas. If the only reason is because it's free so you want it separate form the main game, fine, but at least have ONE single free game and publish the different alphas as a different branch each time.

This type of behavior is polluting Steam store and hopefully this is just ignorance and not an attempt to abuse Steam algorithms in order to promote the main and paid game.

nope definitely intentional to spam their failed game.
as a result I've removed it from my wishlist and reported the alpha releases as spam....

how's that for irony.
Agreed. I dig TinyBuild as a publisher but this is just a waste of time.

The reason of seperating early game in alot of versions is because of re-construction of lore. In Alpha 1 the lore was that neighbor was a maniac who sold his soul to devil and everything like this. In alpha 4 the lore was that player got the letter about kicking him out from his house so he decides to leave the home. The lore is re-building guys! Good thing the game is out now :steamhappy:

Lots of free store publicity, they shouldn't be releasing these as individual packages.
