Letters in Erica's Lair

Hi !

I completed the game almost entirely, the only thing that prevent me to reach 100% is the puzzle to open the gate that keeps me to get the 2 letters in Erica's Lair (the furnace). How do you manage to get a limb in such a high place were throwing don't even works that high ?

I tried to jump and throw, I tried to look for a secret passage, but nothing works...
It makes me crazy not to open that gate !

Did you already tell Erica to turn off her forges? I was hoping that would solve that dilemma but apparently not! I haven't figured out a way up there either.

Erica has shut down the forge already.
When I say it's the only thing that prevents me to get the 100%, it's litteral.
I have all the coins, all the soul coins, all the berries, all sidequests have been done too. The only thing missing is this puzzle that unlock those two letters.

If you're that close to 100% did you get the Bad Bjorn achievement and remember what you did?

This puzzle took some tricky maneuvers. I'll try and recreate it so I can better explain it.

Update: I have not yet successfully finished, but I've come very close and I think this is possible. Stand on that platform. Detach an arm and a head and hook them together. Pick up this combo, and aim and inch toward the edge of the platform. You can hang a foot over the edge if you do this while you're aiming. Then toss the combo up in the air, and then switch to the arm and toss the head at the platform.

I've gotten very close and think that I just need to get the timing better.

Update 2: Yup, I just did it! Just needed to get the timing.

Are you cheating by bypassing that gate to get to those letters?

No, near the entrance to her lair, the first thing you come to is a platform. Jump on that platform and toss everything toward the right; that’s where the button/platform is to unlock the door to reach the letters.

Is there something that lets me throw higher? You can't throw a body part that high to reach the ledge unless there's something I've not gotten yet. I thought maybe one of the milkshakes but I've gotten all them.

To expand on what Rachelle has already said. Get onto the platform and then make a hand and head combined. With the main body pick up the hand and head combination. Now move to the far right side of the platform so the 'about to fall off the edge' animation happens. You can move to the right a couple more steps without falling off. Now throw the hand and head combination almost directly upwards. Then immediately switch to controlling the hand and head combination and press the throw button so the hand is now holding the head. Aim to throw the head into the alcove where the button is. It's a bit tricky but you should get it after a few tries.

Thanks, that did it though the way this one was done, makes it feel like a work around instead of the intended way.

Jump with leg + arm and throw mid way, you need to start throwing as soon as jump to adjust it to go higher. At lieast thats how I done it.
