Game doesn't show up when starting
Hi guys,

Thank you for releasing this game on Steam. I really loved the MIDI soundtracks of this h-game.
The story and gameplay (dating sim) was really nice and got great memories of this game.

When I start the game, I can choose between the windowed or full screen. Both options doesn't work for me. I see the process T_LOVE95 WINDOWED.EXE is running but I don't see any window showing up.

I am using Windows 10 Pro (1903) x64.

Can someone please look into this? Thanks again !

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode? (by right-clicking the game exe and then going to "Properties" followed by the "Compatibility" tab)
I have no idea if it actually works, but that tends to solve issues with a lot of other old titles.

Hi Cordelia,

Good idea, I am not sure if this game was using DirectX API . Just was a regular GDI based drawing program.

Just tried the following options:
- Compatibility mode in Windows 95, 98 and XP (SP2)
- Reduced color mode
- Run this program as an administrator

I am now wondering if I would start this game in a Virtual Machine with Windows XP or 7 ..
Please developers , can you patch the game for Windows 10 machines ?

I hope others aren't experiencing the same problem.

Do you have more than one monitor connected to your computer? I remember one time I was having trouble launching a VN (I've forgotten which one) and the solution turned out to be to disconnect my secondary monitor. I have no idea why that would matter, but I could play it just fine as soon as I only had one monitor connected.

You could also try switching to Japanese locale on your computer, if you haven't already. There are quite a few VNs that require that; even some here on Steam, believe it or not. Hoshizora no Memoria is one example of a Steam VN where I had to use Japanese locale to even launch it.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro (1903) x64 too and I can't get it to run either. Just says register information is not correct, please reinstall. :steamsad:

I think when installing the game for some reason the install registry entry doesn't run.
If you open the location of the game files then double click on TRUELOVE.REG and add the entry to the registry the game should work.
I think the devs may have broken this in an update as it happened to me after I did a fresh install but didn't before then.

Hi Cordelia,

No, I only have 1 monitor connected. Was a possible solution.
Ah yes that's true. A lot of h-games used japanse locale.

I found the solution ^^. It seems the Logitech Gaming Software ( a tool for Logitech devices ) was conflicting with the game. After I close the software and restarted the game , it works flawlessly.

Somehow the game freezes in the background while the Logitech Gaming Software is running in the background. Possible keyboard or mouse interface interference ?

I didn't saw any DirectX enchancements so the game is using regular Win32 API to communicate with HID devices instead of DirectInput API.

The game also works here now :D Thank you very much guys !
Hi,

I'd like to add that I had the same issue that Perry did and that the same solution worked for me. I had Logitech Setpoint software running; after closing it the game was able to start. Mildly inconvenient since it resets my cursor speed but at least I can play the game now.

Thanks
