Any other games similar to this?
Been enjoying this game. Its sort of uncanny, but It sort of gives me throwback to an old Sega Saturn game called Dragonforce. I know mount and blade is similar, but any other suggestions?

I would really like to find a game like Dragonforce again but not had much luck so far.

Hmm. This wasn't what i was expecting but looks interesting enough. Will have a look though as seems to have a lot of ideas there. Thanks.

Yes, i have been watching this through its development, got it wishlisted, been waiting for it to be out of early access, feature complete and fully stable before i purchase.

mount and blade 2 has been in a playable state for a long time now
no clue how it will look "feature complete" tho
i bet the devs dont even have a clue
since they seem to be (rarely) including ideas from popular mods

Ok, then it might be time for me to look into this purchase. I always got the feeling that the game was sort of incomplete, but i guess its now out of early access even though its been available for quite some time.

I have seen some people recommend this. Not sure, but looks very highly praised.

Symphony of War has some jank but if you were a fan of the Ogre Battle games (not to be confused with the tactics variants - same series different gameplay) you'll most likely enjoy it. I wouldn't say it is similar to Sands of Salzaar though.

Hmmm ok, sounds alright, though noted on it not being so similar to Sands of Salazaar... looks more of sequenced campaign / RPG from what i can see.

I had hoped that Kingdom Under Fire 2 would have survived a bit longer or made playable without the mmo part before the devs went under.

Or that the Kingdom Under Fire 1 games would have been remastered, but if you don't mind a bit of outdated graphics you can find them still here on Steam.

Hmm interesting will have a look, thanks for the suggestion. I'm OK with older games and graphics so no problems there. Its the gameplay that matters overall, i have found myself going back to older titles or smaller developers and indy titles to find what i'm looking for.

Lost Technology is similar to Dragonforce, though its global strategy is turn based rather than real time. You can choose to play as a faction leader and manage all units in your army, or you can play as an officer who is only in charge of their squad in large scale battles controlled by AI faction leaders. It doesn't have the freedom to move around and pick your battles like Sands of Salzaar though unless you take a somewhat hidden route to become the leader of a mercenary company.

Ah, now we are talking, this is the closest i've seen so far that is similar to Dragonforce. This is a good find. I will certainly look in to this. Thank you for the heads up on this.
