Finished game finally, very fun. A few notes

3rd playthrough, the others I didn't finish.
Spiritmancer


Cheated:
Used the Durability mod, the mod that let you go to levels higher than 20 (I think reached level 30), and +100 legacy points (I think I had 215 or so from last run so 315ish total)

Ended with 42 extra talent points

Never had enough skill points

Started with spirit magic, charge and spirit trees. Was going to go nameless, but to get master arcane nullified the free 100 legacy.

I think due to the durability mod I didn't find another wand until end game, ran through the whole game with a level 1 wand.

I ended up picking a faction that had a whole map - zargos, and then waiting until i had a good army and set of resources then systematically removed them so I then owned a full map.

Before that I would free about 1/2 or 3/4 of the towns on a map to 'no owner' - which for some reason didn't reduce faction opinion from the faction you knocked out. It only had an opinion hit if you took it over.

2 arborean elders
1 phoenix chick (can't promote past first iter without a combine, never found another.)
1 venom hatchling (can't promote past first iter without a combine, never found another.)
1 Tundra Dragon (before 120 days)
2 Arctic wolf alphas
2 Dryads
1 Demon Lord (before 120 days)
+ normal troops


Wasn't till the end I figured out what making sultans meant and getting additional armies to support against the ifrit

When you can, give a city to a hero you've recruited via create a sultan in the intel screen once you've started a faction. They go off and build an army, patrol the area, and can siege other towns.

Will play with a melee character next.

you can get more skill points from some special quests and every 30 days on the dragon dungeon SW in the snowmap

you can also check legacy in lower left corner button, it's worth it conquering all major cities to make their dungeons which give 8 legacy each, and having 16 cities also nets you another 80

wand drops are lame and most wands are actually buggy and don't work, best wand in the game is likely the fireball wand which is really low level

Durability mod didn't mess with you getting a new wand. I'm also playing a Spiritmancer using the durability mod, works fine, upgraded my wand 2 or 3 times already and I just hit level 20. Not every place drops the same gear, run dungeons that drop wands more often, imo. Oh, and I got a level drop of my starting wand from a random fight on the road, once, too.

I'm using on called felflame lv17 which gives 230 magic attack, but it's buggy as it doesnt have a default attack when it should shoot fireballs, but it's still overal the best to cast skills

there are two durability mods. One gives infinite durability, the other prevents durability from dropping. As far as I know the second works for English version. You can find it by searching for "durability"

I have the one where item names were in chinese... then maybe there was an update since they're all now in english. I got it from searching durability and it was a picture of a repair hammer.

Same, I'd just got the felflame staff during in the ifrit world near end game - agreed, only melee attacks or no attacks. I also have the trinket that gives 50 mana for each normal attack, so those didn't work well together unfortunately as some of the sieges could go pretty long.
