Multiplayer

I cannot seem to find information if this multiplayer option is coop or head to head? I'd love to get this to play with my girlfriend if it's coop. Can anyone inform me on how it works?

Only found information about some multiplayer arena. Can the main game be played coop?

For now there's only arena, devs have hinted "they might" implement this but it's gonna take a lot of work and first they want to fix the game for release
